Joseph R. Paolino, Jr. Named To PBN Ten Most Influential People List

Paolino Properties Managing Partner and Former Mayor of Providence Joseph R. Paolino, Jr. was named as one of 2019’s Ten Most Influential People by Providence Business News.

Published in the yearly Book of Lists, this year’s ten most influential Rhode Islanders include Governor Gina Raimondo, Speaker Nicholas Mattiello, Brown University President Christina Paxson, and Chairman and CEO of Hasbro Brian Goldner. Paolino announced his appreciation in a tweet, saying he was “honored & humbled to be included in [Providence Business News] 10 Most Influential People. I’m not sure it’s deserved, but I’m proud to have made the list alongside some of our state’s best political & business leaders, whom I greatly admire.”

Of Paolino, PBN writes: “The former mayor and ambassador has become a major property owner and developer in downtown Providence. His advocacy for ‘cleaning up’ the streets, in addition to building the city’s image among visitors, can be seen as serving his own financial interests. But there is no doubt Paolino is investing in Providence.”
