Constructed in 1859, the Case-Mead Building at 76 Dorrance was originally designed as a four-story structure. The fifth story was added on in 1906 during extensive renovations, creating the building’s unique façade which is still visible today. Prior to 1880, the Case-Mead property housed an infantry hall on its fourth floor, and it became the home of the infamous Turkish Parlor in the late 19th Century. A historic property in the heart of Providence, the Case-Mead building brings its stories and charm to the capital city.

Case-Mead’s commercial ground floor has been the home of many shops and restaurants over the years, and it is currently home to Nico Bella’s Restaurant, a classic Italian eatery frequented by many. The top floors of the property previously housed offices and boast abundant natural light and views of the city.  Paolino Properties previously housed their offices in the building for many years, relocating to 100 Westminster Street in late 2014.

In response to the growing residential need in downtown Providence, Paolino Properties has begun renovating 76 Dorrance to create 44 microloft apartments in the heart of the city. These microlofts are efficiently designed to offer residents an extremely functional and sophisticated space. High-end finishes and appliances, such as lacquered cabinetry and quartz counter tops, provide a sense of luxury in every unit. Each unit offers a full kitchen, built-in wardrobe, washer/dryer unit, walk-in shower and large windows looking out over the city.
